The judges this month have chosen for the April #1 Button the My Tool Belt by Dyles.

Welcome back to 2011 and the first #1 Button for the year.   Well Christmas and the holidays are sadly over and it is back to preschool and school.  It is wonderful to see all our friends again and get back into a routine (well that is what Mum says anyway).  

This month we have chosen for the #1 Button the Lace and Trace Pets by Melissa and Doug and vote this as the pick for the month.

Hello everyone, us again!! Our names are Arabella, Penelope and Riley and we are the judges for the #1 Button.  This month we have a guest judge, Frankie, helping us with the choice.  The #1 Button Award for September goes to (drum roll please) the Voila Wooden Kitchen Range, including the Sink and Dishwasher, Stove, Refrigerator and Microwave.

We just love this set… it is the ultimate kids pretend play kitchen!!!  What more could a kid want to play with.  It is so much fun being able to bake cakes and muffins for our friends, wash the dishes, chop food, set the table, and store fruit and veggies in the fridge.  We are just like our Mummy’s and daddy’s.  We love this sturdy wooden range and it will last us for years.  Our Mummy said this is something you cherish and give to our own kids when we are older (much, much older).  We love the brightly coloured red range, perfect for any play room.

All of us, including Frankie, rate this set 10 out of 10 for wonderful pretend play and fun.  Literally hours of independent play and development to be had.

August 2010 # 1 Button

Hello, we are back for the month of August. Our names are Arabella, Penelope and Riley and we are this month’s judges.  The #1 Button Award goes to the Twigz Hand Tool Set of Three and Twigz Watering Can in Orange or Green.

One of our favourite things to do when it is not too cold outside is to play in the garden and dig. Some of us love getting our hands really dirty (namely Penny) and feeling the dirt between our fingers.  Arabella loves to wear gardening gloves and be a grown up gardener like her Daddy.  Our plan was to plant pumpkin seeds and grow lots of yummy pumpkins in our garden.  Grandad tells us this is the perfect time to do this.  So with help from our daddy and using our Twigz Hand Tools we dug holes to place pumpkin seeds in.  Riley was able to dig deep into the soil with her shovel.   We covered up the pumpkins with soil and really gave them a good drink of water with the Twigz Watering Can.  As you can see in our photos the Twigz range also includes a child size Wheelbarrow and Matching Green and Orange Buckets.  

We rated the Twigz Hand Tool Set of Three and Twigz Watering Can in Orange or Green 10 out of 10 for kid friendly garden fun (and usability for little children’s hands).

July 2010 #1 Button

Hello, we are back for the month of July. Our names are Arabella and Penelope and we are this month’s judges. Unfortunately, Riley couldn’t join us this month as she was unwell. The #1 Button Award goes to the Iron Set and Clothes Line Set by Santoy.

We had so much fun playing, setting up our clothes and pretending we were big girls. We love these wooden toys and we shared together beautifully. We had the laundry pile sorted out in no time at all. Penny was even able to use the wooden pegs easily to hang up the clothes. We thought these sets were so great that we gave them to Riley for her 2nd birthday. Happy Birthday Riley.
 
We rated the Iron Set and Clothes Line Set 10 out of 10 for pretend play, fun and our Mum says “fine motor skills”.
